The work The Closed Membranes of Silence by Ambadas Khobragade was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. It achieved a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,609.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ambadas Khobragade; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 46,429.60).

Die Arbeit The Closed Membranes of Silence von Ambadas Khobragade kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.609,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ambadas Khobragade; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 36.500,00 (€ 46.429,60).
