Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Possessed by Ambadas Khobragade was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,682.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ambadas Khobragade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 46,429.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Possessed von Ambadas Khobragade kam im März 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.682,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ambadas Khobragade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 36.500,00 (€ 46.429,60) versteigert wurde.
