Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, which included the work St. Paul's Cathedral from Ludgate Circus by Alvin Langdon Coburn. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,048.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alvin Langdon Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).
