Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alvin Langdon Coburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kanal in Rotterdam. von Alvin Langdon Coburn kam im Mai 2018 bei Grisebach zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alvin Langdon Coburn erzielen.
