Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Portrait of Arthur Wesley Dow by Alvin Langdon Coburn was worth USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,657.28) to a buyer in October 2017. This price was achieved in the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Alvin Langdon Coburn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vortograph in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 439,137.69).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation bei Phillips in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
