In the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction, the work The Umbrella sold for AUD 2,115.00 (€ 1,267.75) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Althea Mary Proctor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Garden Party, which sold at auction in May 2001 for AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,577.98).
