In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Portrait of A Woman by Althea Mary Proctor. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,019.00 (€ 3,085.21). Other works by Althea Mary Proctor have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 7,637.50 (€ 4,577.98) in May 2001 for the work The Garden Party.

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.019,00 (€ 3.085,21) einen neuen Besitzer.
