Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life (Vase of Flowers) by Alice Neel was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,322.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Neel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dr. Finger’S Waiting Room in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,030,000.00 (€ 2,484,828.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life (Vase of Flowers) von Alice Neel wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.322,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Neel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dr. Finger’S Waiting Room im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.030.000,00 (€ 2.484.828,60).
