In May this year Christies in New York held the auction A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I, which included the work The De Vegh Twins by Alice Neel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,591,000.00 (€ 2,431,950.44), 44% above the upper estimate. Other works by Alice Neel have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 3,030,000.00 (€ 2,484,828.60) in May 2021 for the work Dr. Finger’S Waiting Room.

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit The De Vegh Twins von Alice Neel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.591.000,00 (€ 2.431.950,44) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Alice Neel haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.030.000,00 (€ 2.484.828,60) im Mai 2021 für die Arbeit Dr. Finger’S Waiting Room beobachtet.
