Admittedly, works by Alfred Wertheimer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elvis Presley. Twenty One Studies, 1956 in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,377.10).

Die Arbeit 'The Kiss', Elvis Presley And His Date Backstage At The Mosque Theatre, Richmond, Virginia, June 30, 1956 von Alfred Wertheimer wurde im Mai 2005 in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.594,42) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Wertheimer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elvis Presley.
