This artwork by Alfred Joseph Casson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in December 2009. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Oxtongue Lake, October sold for CAD 39,000.00 (€ 26,011.79) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Joseph Casson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 111,750.00 (€ 86,488.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Joseph Casson erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in Toronto einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wurde die Arbeit Oxtongue Lake, October für CAD 39.000,00 (€ 26.011,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CAD 20.000,00.
