In the Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) auction, the work Running For Shelter (Illustrated); And Fishermen Before Fortifications sold for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,138.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Herbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing Vessels In A Squall Off Saint Malo, France, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,986.07).
