A top price for Alfred Herbert - as previously expected
In June 2007 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work Fishing Vessels In A Squall Off Saint Malo, France by Alfred Herbert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,986.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Fishing Vessels In A Squall Off Saint Malo, France is the most expensive artwork by Alfred Herbert that we have observed at auctions so far.
