Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jerusalem by Alfred Edward Emslie was sold in the Travel & Exploration Sale auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 832.00 (€ 968.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Edward Emslie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bending Sail After A Gale in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 146,600.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jerusalem von Alfred Edward Emslie wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Travel & Exploration Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 832,00 (€ 968,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Edward Emslie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bending Sail After A Gale im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 146.600,36).
