However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Edward Chalon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ballerinas of the last century: "The Three Graces" - Marie Taglioni, Carlotta Grisi and Amalia Ferraris, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,536.88).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 897,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Edward Chalon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ballerinas of the last century: "The Three Graces" - Marie Taglioni, Carlotta Grisi and Amalia Ferraris beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.536,88) versteigert wurde.
