This artwork by Alfred de Bréanski achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work British The Pass Of Brander In The Scottish Highlands sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,970.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred de Bréanski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lochnagar, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).
