Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alfonso Ossorio achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Green Woman sold for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 94,234.96) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 320,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfonso Ossorio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfonso Ossorio erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Green Woman für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 94.234,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 320.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
