Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Avion 73 x 86 x 18cm (28 3/4 x 33 7/8 x 7 1/16in). by Alexis Akrithakis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Bonhams in Paris in November this year. The price achieved of EUR 25,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexis Akrithakis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,294.06).

Die Arbeit Avion 73 x 86 x 18cm (28 3/4 x 33 7/8 x 7 1/16in). von Alexis Akrithakis wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexis Akrithakis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 88.294,06) versteigert wurde.
