Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Plages Aux Cerf-Volants by Alexandre Garbell was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in July 2008. It changed hands for a price of EUR 496.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Alexandre Garbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plage De Mers, 1954 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,550.00.

Die Arbeit Les Plages Aux Cerf-Volants von Alexandre Garbell wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 496,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre Garbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plage De Mers, 1954 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.550,00.
