Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexandre Garbell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in July 2008. In the Modern Art auction, the work La Halle Aux Poissons sold for EUR 1,115.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Garbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plage De Mers, 1954, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 2,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexandre Garbell erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit La Halle Aux Poissons für EUR 1.115,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Garbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plage De Mers, 1954 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für EUR 2.550,00 versteigert wurde.
