Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Theatre De Marionnettes by Alexandre Garbell was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in July 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 223.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Garbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plage De Mers, 1954 in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,550.00.

Die Arbeit Le Theatre De Marionnettes von Alexandre Garbell kam im Juli 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 223,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Garbell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plage De Mers, 1954 im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.550,00.
