The work Le Port by Alexandre Garbell was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in July 2008. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 682.00 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Garbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Plage De Mers, 1954, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 2,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le Port von Alexandre Garbell wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 682,00 und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Garbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Plage De Mers, 1954 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für EUR 2.550,00 versteigert wurde.
