Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Thelonious (Monk) by Alexandre Arrechea. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,012.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexandre Arrechea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sherry Netherlands (from the 'NOLIMITS' series) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 52,529.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thelonious (Monk) von Alexandre Arrechea zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.012,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre Arrechea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sherry Netherlands (from the 'NOLIMITS' series) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 52.529,84).
