Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Mountains On Haines Highway, Yukon by Alexander Young Jackson for CAD 146,250.00 (€ 113,189.18). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Young Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St. Tite-Des-Caps, which sold at auction in June 2010 for CAD 324,500.00 (€ 248,912.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountains On Haines Highway, Yukon von Alexander Young Jackson für CAD 146.250,00 (€ 113.189,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Young Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit St. Tite-Des-Caps beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für CAD 324.500,00 (€ 248.912,70) versteigert wurde.
