Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Landscape Near Coppermine, N.W.T. by Alexander Young Jackson was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The result of CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,930.98) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Young Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Tite-Des-Caps in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 324,500.00 (€ 248,912.70).
