A top price for Alexander Young Jackson - as previously expected
In June 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work St. Tite-Des-Caps by Alexander Young Jackson. The price achieved of CAD 324,500.00 (€ 248,912.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, St. Tite-Des-Caps is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Young Jackson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit St. Tite-Des-Caps von Alexander Young Jackson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 324.500,00 (€ 248.912,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist St. Tite-Des-Caps das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alexander Young Jackson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
