A top price for Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky - as previously expected
The work Market Day In Plyos by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 270,683.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Market Day In Plyos is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky that we have observed at auctions so far.
