In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Leaving For The Hunt by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,000.00 (€ 56,399.50), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Market Day In Plyos in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 270,683.94).

Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leaving For The Hunt von Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 56.399,50) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Market Day In Plyos im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 270.683,94).
