Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Alexander Ross was sold in the Open House auction at Christies in New York in January 2008. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,537.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Ross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,169.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alexander Ross wurde im Januar 2008 in der Auktion Open House bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.537,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Ross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.169,46).
