Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Alexander Ross was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in September 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,253.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Ross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,169.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alexander Ross wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.253,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Ross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.169,46).
