Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Vector, Brown Blue High by Alexander Liberman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,850.00 (€ 16,634.05), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Liberman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Solstice Vii, which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,390.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vector, Brown Blue High von Alexander Liberman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 16.634,05) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Liberman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Solstice Vii beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.390,17) versteigert wurde.
