Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nikolaiplatz by Alexander Kanoldt was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 56,060.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kanoldt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stillleben mit Büchern und Krügen., which sold at auction in June 2011 for EUR 187,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nikolaiplatz von Alexander Kanoldt wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 56.060,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kanoldt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stillleben mit Büchern und Krügen. beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für EUR 187.500,00 versteigert wurde.
