Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Isle of Elba From The Sea, Italy by Alexander Cozens was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2006. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,418.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bay At Dusk in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 108,000.00 (€ 160,062.82).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.418,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Cozens erzielen.
