This work of art by Alexander Cozens could be acquired at Christies in London in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A vale near Matlock, Derbyshire changed hands for GBP 9,450.00 (€ 10,886.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bay At Dusk in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 108,000.00 (€ 160,062.82).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Cozens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bay At Dusk im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.000,00 (€ 160.062,82).
