Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Building Among Trees by Alexander Cozens was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.17), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Cozens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Bay At Dusk in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 108,000.00 (€ 160,062.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Building Among Trees von Alexander Cozens wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion British Art on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.134,17) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Cozens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Bay At Dusk im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 108.000,00 (€ 160.062,82).
