Despite a disappointment, a good price for Alexander Labas
When the work Red Army Soldier In The Far East by Alexander Labas was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 290,500.00 (€ 365,238.70).
