Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Crabs, Pikes And Shrimp On A Wooden Ledge by Alexander Adriaenssen. The price achieved of EUR 1,553.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Adriaenssen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crabs, Pikes And Shrimp On A Wooden Ledge von Alexander Adriaenssen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.553,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Adriaenssen erzielen.
