In May 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Still Life With A Robin, A Kingfisher, Partridges And Songbirds, All On A Wooden Table, Together With A Glass And An Earthenware Jug by Alexander Adriaenssen. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,050.00 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Adriaenssen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With A Robin, A Kingfisher, Partridges And Songbirds, All On A Wooden Table, Together With A Glass And An Earthenware Jug von Alexander Adriaenssen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.050,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Adriaenssen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 47.355,12).
