Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A bowl of clams with a plate of fish and oysters on a table by Alexander Adriaenssen was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2003. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,087.83), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Adriaenssen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A bowl of clams with a plate of fish and oysters on a table von Alexander Adriaenssen wurde im Februar 2003 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 47.355,12).
