It achieved a price of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,584.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Admittedly, works by Alexander Adriaenssen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table in December 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 47,355.12).

Die Arbeit A blue tit, a red finch, a patridge, a kingfisher, and other dead birds on a half draped table, with a glass and silver rimmed jug von Alexander Adriaenssen kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.584,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Adriaenssen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses and an iris in a glass vase, crabs and prawns on a pewter platter, a Façon-de-Venise wineglass, a stoneware ewer, a bunch of grapes, a bread roll and a roemer on a partly-draped table im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 47.355,12).
