Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Listened and Remembered by Alex Gardner was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction at Phillips in New York in July this year. The price achieved of USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,524.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chair #2 in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 180,790.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Listened and Remembered von Alex Gardner wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.524,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Gardner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chair #2 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 180.790,01).
