This artwork by Alex Gardner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work Listened and Remembered sold for HKD 226,800.00 (€ 29,063.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alex Gardner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chair #2 in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 180,790.01).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alex Gardner erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online wurde die Arbeit Listened and Remembered für HKD 226.800,00 (€ 29.063,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Gardner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chair #2 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 180.790,01).
