Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rather be Sweaty by Alex Gardner was sold in the My Kawaii Valentine: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in February last year. The price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,871.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chair #2 in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 180,790.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rather be Sweaty von Alex Gardner wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion My Kawaii Valentine: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.871,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Gardner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chair #2 im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 180.790,01).
