In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A Young Laundress At The Edge Of A River, A Waterfall In The Distance by Alessandro Magnasco. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,062.68), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alessandro Magnasco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The singing lesson in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,000.00 (€ 249,518.78).

Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Laundress At The Edge Of A River, A Waterfall In The Distance von Alessandro Magnasco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 15.062,68) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alessandro Magnasco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The singing lesson im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.000,00 (€ 249.518,78).
