Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Standing Nude by Aleksey Ilych Kravchenko was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 115,250.00 (€ 141,976.31). Admittedly, works by Aleksey Ilych Kravchenko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Fairytale, Circa 1920S in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,482,500.00 (€ 1,137,235.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Standing Nude von Aleksey Ilych Kravchenko im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 115.250,00 (€ 141.976,31) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aleksey Ilych Kravchenko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Fairytale, Circa 1920S im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.482.500,00 (€ 1.137.235,35).
