Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Track To The Farmstead by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky was sold in the 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,719.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Vladimirovich Makovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Day In Plyos in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 270,683.94).
