Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Angry gnomes, but the conga continues! (Piece 55) by Albert Willem was worth GBP 69,600.00 (€ 78,571.62) to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale at Bonhams and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Willem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt, which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 228,600.00 (€ 266,051.04).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale bei Bonhams erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Willem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All In All Not Bad For His First Attempt beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 228.600,00 (€ 266.051,04) versteigert wurde.
