Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Letter by Albert Roelofs was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006. The price achieved of EUR 48,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Roelofs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toekomstdromen, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Letter von Albert Roelofs wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 48.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toekomstdromen beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13) versteigert wurde.
