This artwork by Albert Roelofs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2006. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work An elegant lady wearing a red hat sold for EUR 19,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Albert Roelofs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toekomstdromen in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 367,000.00 (€ 168,446.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albert Roelofs erzielte im April 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit An elegant lady wearing a red hat für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albert Roelofs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toekomstdromen im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 367.000,00 (€ 168.446,13).
