In January 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Motherly love by Albert Neuhuys. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,600.00 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Neuhuys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Love, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 14,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Motherly love von Albert Neuhuys zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.600,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Neuhuys mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Love beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 14.400,00 versteigert wurde.
